About

Roma is a music project created by two German brothers who dedicate a lot of their personal time to composing and producing music. They are driven by creating something new and unique – a style of music with its own special character – from a compositional and a productional point of view. Complex metrics with constant changes in measures that are never arbitrary, but create patterns, which increase or decrease in time, using sounds and noises in a musical way, and the synergy of electronic and natural instruments are just a few examples – and this always combined with the search for original harmonic enrichments, chord combinations, tone clusters, and the attempt to think “out of the box”.
All songs could be performed live by musicians playing real instruments, however they were all produced “in the box”, thus allowing for the perfect control and fine tuning of the ‘performance’ and production.

Even though the name ROMA might imply a connection to an ethnic group, this is not the case. It is rather an homage to one of the greatest film composer of all times: Ennio Morricone, who was born, lived and died in the city of Rome, Italy.
